12 months until #YOLO7dayUltra

Hello all,

Well it's just less than 12 months until the start of the big event. Unbelievable, considering what started out with the idea of me just running followed by the wife and son in a car, has now gone bigger and better than I have ever thought.

So where are we at the moment with the event? So far I've received support from X-Bionic UK http://www.x-bionic.co.uk. They have supplied me with apparel to run in, the kit they have supplied does exactly what is says in the tin. Also Sunwise http://www.sunwise.co.uk have supplied me with sunglasses, again brilliant bit of kit.

Further Support has been offered from The Brook Inn http://brookinnplympton.co.uk, here in Plympton as well which is really great. If you are ever in the area. I recommend the grub there as it is the best in the area for sure! Our logo was designed by http://www.samantha-designs.uk.com which I love!

The support team has a medic, Les will be providing no doubt well needed treatment especially in the case of blisters! Also recruited is Amanda, a sports masseuse and Donna who apart from running the last day will be dealing the PR.

We have started to get a good list of volunteer runners as well who have said they will keep me company along the way. Most are doing the last day with a few doing the other stages. A couple have even said they will accompany me the whole way, that would be awesome if they can. That's one thing I have learnt about endurance running, having company makes the miles fly and keeps the mind occupied when times are mentally tough.

Training wise, so far is going ok, I've not really started training properly yet. I have run some local running events, and I run most days including once with Plymouth Sweatshop SRC every Monday and with Plymouth Musketeers Running Club every Thursday. I love the social side of what comes with running groups, the chatting about the events people have just done, as you pick up advice and second hand train from them.

Events entered so far for next year:
Paris Marathon 2015
London Marathon (tbc)
Hope 24 (24 hour Ultra)

I will be entering more next year a bit closer to the time.
